Case 1. Osteomyelitis of humerus (proven)

41 y/o male seen in Sports Medicine Clinic for right arm pain.

Had history of biceps tendon rupture and repair 20 years ago but has no known risk factors (positive HIV, steroid use, etc.)

This has just been operated and proved to be chronic osteomyelitis with abcess.

This case nicely demonstrates a bony cloaca, allowing communication between the medullary space and the surrounding soft tissues.
